Mi Caleta InnAddress: Daphne & Petrel, El Eden neighborhood, Puerto Ayora
This charming guesthouse is located in an exclusive residential neighborhood in Puerto Ayora. The name of Mi Caleta Inn comes from the fact that in Ecuador, and especially in the coastal areas and the Galapagos, the word caleta is used as slang for home or house, while the real meaning is small cove. Therefore, they thought it was a very proper name for this family inn. It has a beautiful garden with flowers and palm trees.
Mi Caleta Inn is located on Daphne and Petrel streets. It is in El Eden neighborhood on Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island.
The town of Puerto Ayora can be reached either by flying to Baltra airport and then travelling overland, or by speedboat from one of the other islands. There are several flights a day from the cities of Quito or Guayaquil on the Ecuadorian mainland as well as inter-island flights each day from both Puerto Baquerizo Moreno (San Cristobal island) and Puerto Villamil (Isabela island). The daily speedboat services come from both Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and Puerto Villamil.
